Great chapter with beautiful descriptions and gobsmacking images! And from a recovering perfectionist - you aren’t alone. It’s a wicked curse. Keep doing the work.
So honest and relatable! Loved it, Charlie! You take us on a journey behind the scenes that I haven't seen any other nature photographer doing! And I simply love your candid, irreverent, introspective voice. You're an impactful storyteller, with both pictures and words. I'm dreading the arrival of the last chapter – this series has become such an integral part of my week! But I'm certain there are more stories in you from both the past and the future! I hope to see this and more in book form soon, and to have it signed by you!
Thank you so much for these essays sir, as someone who desperately dream of making a living in your line of business, it is weirdly nice to hear about all of your struggles (sorry), since the life of a nature photographer is often only romantic and in stark contrast to my experience having a family and trying to make a living from this thing 😅 So thank you! And btw brilliant images and writing - I think you are an amazing photographer!
Beautiful, Charlie. Great read. Hell of a photo.
What?! The next chapter is the final chapter? Nooooo…..I don’t want this wonderful adventure of a book to end!
